Dead end Psychiatric research at Feinstein Institute and at Zucker Hillside for decades, that finds little to nothing of material value that help the mentally ill! Zucker Hillside & Feinstein waste tens of millions of dollars a year on dead end wasteful research studies. Zucker Hillside Hospital's psychotropic, poly-pharmacy and drugging of its patients with toxic drugs to manage and suppress symptoms is NOT medicine. Zucker Hillside needs to drop the word "Hospital" from its name since it does NOT provide medical or surgical treatment and should be called "Zucker Hillside Treatment Center" instead!
"Zucker Hillside Hospital- Poor Outcomes Guaranteed in the long run with their so called "PIONEERING RESEARCH" leading to little to NO benefit for in-patients and out-patients. What are Zucker Hillside's long term"patient outcomes"? Is Zucker Hillside just a revolving door of misdiagnosis and mistreatment? Does Zucker Hillside even practice Evidence Based Medicine? Nearly 85% of Zucker's patients are funded by tax payer Medicare/Medicaid. As hundreds of millions of dollars are wasted each year at these facilities, why aren't they held accountable?
Zucker Hillside Hospital is a treatment center and warehousing facility, that is a Jobs Program focused on training and educating newly minted psychiatrists, nurses, PA's, NP's, psychologists, social workers etc.- by suppressing and managing symptoms of the mentally ill at Zucker Hillside.
We call on NorthWell Health to hire an independent entity to investigate both Zucker Hillside and The Feinstein Institute; its mistreatment of employees and its mistreatment of the most vulnerable; its Patients (now called consumers by Zucker Hillside)
We call on Zucker Hillside & The Feinstein Institute to appoint an independent research institute to review Zucker Hillside Hospital's patients "Pioneering, State of the Art Treatment" records to see if in fact treatment at Zucker Hillside is as effective as they claim! We ask that a sample of Zucker Hillside patient's (treated since the early 80's) of at least 5,000 random patients diagnosed with BP1 and Schizophrenia, who have been in treatment at Zucker Hillside Hospital for the last three or four decades be evaluated to find out what their outcomes are in reality.What happened to patients who entered Zucker Hillside's system in say the early 1980's and have been treatment compliant until now at Zucker? Are they sicker? Dead? Better? Are they functional and part of our society today?
